So there is a kind of self-delusion, where people look at their life and think that the only way they\u2019re going to make it up to where they want to be is to win the lottery.<\/p>\n
In some countries, winners are given the choice of taking a lump sum or receiving the proceeds over a period of years via an annuity payment.
